There are several ways to sell your items online, and we are here to help you decide what method is best for your specific items. Each style of listing has its own advantages and disadvantages.

Live Auction, No Reserve, Low Starting Price

From experience, items listed as live auctions, with low starting prices ($24.99 and below) tend to sell for the highest price. If you decide to sell your item in this method, there is no up-front cost. Your check will be calculated based on the following standard rate plan:

The consigner is also responsible for all Ebay fees and payment processing fees. Ebay fees vary based on category and sales method. Click here for Ebay's current fee schedule. Payments processed through PayPal will be calculated at 3.0% + $0.30.

If the item does not sell, the consigner owes $2.00 per item, and has 14 days to pick up their unsold item(s) or contact EZ Auction Drop Off to relist the item at a lower starting bid.

Live Auction, Reserve Price or High Starting Price

A reserve price allows you to set a minimum price that you would be willing to sell your item in an auction format. From our experience, this method tends to lead to a lower sales price, because it interests less bidders. The same is true when starting auctions with a high starting price ($25.00 and above). Ebay charges an additional fee for this style of listing. If you decide to sell your item in this method, there is no up-front cost.

If the item does not sell, the consigner owes $2.00 per item plus actual listing fees, and has 14 days to pick up their unsold item(s) or contact EZ Auction Drop Off to relist the item at a lower starting bid.

Buy It Now Listings

Some items may be best listed in a "Buy It Now" format. This allows sellers to post a set price for your item. One benefit of this style of listing is that your item can be listed for 30 days (vs. an auction format of a maximum of 10 days). If you decide to sell your item in this method, there is no up-front cost. Ebay rewards sellers (in the form of higher search results) who list items with free shipping, so we often list Buy It Now items with free shipping. The actually shipping charge will be deducted from the seller payout if the item sells with free shipping. This is only a recommendation and is not required.

If the item does not sell, the consigner owes $5.00 per item, and has 14 days to pick up their unsold item(s) or contact EZ Auction Drop Off to relist the item at a lower price, or list as an auction.
